When fibre is being built in your street, our construction crews install the underground ducts, pits and fibre cables that make up the network. Most of this work takes place in the nature strip or road reserve.

You may see activities such as locating existing services (usually with different coloured flags), digging small trenches, installing pits, hauling fibre and restoring the ground. Traffic control may also be in place to keep the area safe.

Our team have the necessary training and qualifications, and follow our safety and reinstatement standards. We aim to keep disruption as low as possible and finish each section of work quickly. Sometimes we are delayed by wet weather or boggy ground, but we will always come back to reinstate the areas we have worked in.

If you have a concern about construction near your property, you can contact Rural Fibre Co. We are here to help.
