About us
Rural Fibre Co is a Gippsland-grown business focused on one thing: building brand-new fibre networks in places that need them most. If your town has been stuck with patchy or slow internet, we’re here to change that.

We’re not just another provider – we’re building the actual infrastructure from the ground up. That means digging the trenches, laying the fibre, and making sure it works the way it should.

RFC was founded by Phillip Britt, who also started Aussie Broadband. Phil’s from Morwell and has spent years pushing for better digital services in regional areas.

Our mission
We believe everyone deserves fast, reliable internet – no matter where they live. Our job is to close the digital gap between the city and the country, one fibre line at a time.

What makes us different?

  • Built local – We’re using local crews, local suppliers, and hiring Gippslanders wherever we can.

  • End-to-end service – We don’t just build the network. We run it too, and we’ve even launched our own retail provider, Splice Internet, to help locals get connected.

  • Focused on community – This isn’t just a business to us. It’s an investment in the future of Gippsland.

Where we’re building
We’ve started in Hazelwood North, with more towns coming soon – including Traralgon West, Churchill, Rosedale, Yinnar, and others. As the network grows, more homes and businesses will be able to access high-speed fibre.
